- Eco-Friendly Practices
- Energy Efficiency: We invest in energy-efficient technologies to reduce our carbon footprint during the drying and packaging processes; like relying on dryers that can work on both natural gas and solar. As compared to biomass dryers that run on fuel wood. The company approximately uses 30tins of natural gas which translate to approximately 66Co2. Using the global conversion factory of 2.2
- Packaging Innovation: Our packaging is designed with sustainability in mind, using materials that are recyclable or biodegradable whenever possible. By relying on kraft paper packaging, we reduced 95% of plastic which will consequently get into the environment. This comes as huge cost to the company of reducing shelf life of products
- Waste Reduction
- Zero Waste Goals: We strive for minimal waste generation in our operations and packaging processes.Waste from GROITAL is donated as animal feed for free. Our annual organic waste generation is about 2500 tons of Co2. Approximately 1kg of fruit waste in landfills generate 2.5kg of Co2
- Recycling Initiatives: We encourage recycling among our customers and provide information on how to dispose of our packaging responsibly.
