Our Story
The Groital Journey
Groital takes its name from the inspiring phrase, “Grow it All,” embodying our commitment to encourage young people to grow food and take ownership of sustainable agriculture. Founded in 2014 by a visionary young university graduate, Groital began as a humble pineapple farm with a pilot project on just half an acre of land.
Fast forward to 2023, Groital scaled further, processing 24,000 kg of fresh fruits daily. We expanded our product portfolio from dried pineapple to include dried mango, dried coconut, dried papaya, and an exciting range of spiced dried fruits, such as pineapple with ginger, pineapple with chili, mango with chili, toasted coconut, and coconut with honey.
Our team has grown alongside our business. From a single employee in 2014, Groital now proudly employs 125 dedicated individuals in 2024.
As a company founded and led by young Ghanaians, we are excited about our future and remain steadfast in our mission to reduce unemployment among Ghana’s youth. Groital is committed to contributing to the national growth of Ghana and the broader West African region through sustainable and innovative agricultural practices.
